Team-Teaching and Based on IT Education

Education is one of benchmarks which shows human’s quality. Now, we will talking about education method which applied in Senior high school, especially in 11 state high school surabaya (SMAN 11 Surabaya). This school apply team-teaching and based on IT education. Team-teaching means that in every subject, there are 2 teacher who teach in turn in a class. When one teacher give some explanation, the other teacher can control the students or give student’s affective score. Whereas they have some ways to teaching. such as in Math class, teacher will divide students in to some groups and they will work together along the school year. They will make some presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint or Macromedia Flash and present their material, in other hands, they will act like their teacher for their friends. The presentation which is using Microsoft PowerPoint or Macromedia Flash makes the students more attracted to listen the explanation. and the other advantage is the students don’t need to write anything on their book.
Here, both of teacher is functioned as advisers. So, when the students have any problem with their math, they can consult to their teachers. This method is good enough. so, the students can also learn how to teach and improve their public speaking ability.
In the other subject, the method is almost same. The students’ assignments must be delivered to their teacher’s e-mail or they must write it in their blog.
The teachers also post the material in school’s blog. So, the students can download it free.

Those kind of methods help the student in studying. By grouping a number of students, it will make them learn how to solve some problem together and how to socialized with each other well. By ask the students to present the material, it will make them learn more about their material and also improve their public speaking ability. And the last one, it will be helpful because in the future (in college) they will also do the same thing.
That’s how the education method applied in 11 State High School Surabaya.

    nice article !

  2. tapi sebenarnya yang lebih ditekankan adalah sebuah proses itu sendiri..percuma siswa tidak mencatat dan difasilitasi namun tidak ada yang dinamakan sebuah PROSES…

    @Thamzpolka,thanks :)

    @coretanmahasiswa, setuju…tapi kan ada prosesnya mas,,dimana group tadi berusaha mencerna materi yang akan mereka presentasikan nantinya,,juga dalam penyampaian materi2 tersebut tentunya ada latihan2 soal yang mereka kerjakan, dari situlah terjadi suatu PROSES itu sendiri :)
